Today’s edit is all about mixing different shades of neutrals. As the seasons change and bring on a new wave of seasonal color palettes in the fashion world, neutrals don’t go away. That’s a huge reason I love buying and wearing neutral clothing - they pair well with nearly all colors and can be worn year-round! When you pair different neutral shades together (think white, tan, taupe, brown), they blend nicely and help to make any accent colors pop. Read More
Last Thursday, I posted a video recap of my Consciously Chic launch event, in celebration of my new sustainable fashion blog series. Today, I'm sharing more snippets of the event in the form of a photo diary. A big thank you to Lachtype for capturing such heart-warming shots from the event!
I also wanted to give a shout out to Paperless Post, an e-vite service I used to customize and send my digital event invitations. They made it possible for me to quickly design elegant e-vite cards for my event, and have such a beautiful variety of stationery for all sorts of occasions. With Paperless Post, I was able to easily track RSVPs and send out event details and reminders, which made event planning overall SO much easier for me. I picked the Fleur Sauvages design and absolutely love how it turned out (see below)! Read More
Posted a quick 1 minute video recap of a recent event I hosted to celebrate my Consciously Chic blog series launch. I had launched my new series on April 24th, in memory of the Rana Plaza factory collapse, where over 1k garment workers in Bangladesh died after a building clearly known with unsafe working conditions collapsed 5 years ago.
I collaborated with Amour Vert, Remake, 100% Pure, and Candicake to make this event happen during Fashion Revolution Week, to spread awareness on the conscious consumer movement. I held a clothing swap at the event as one of the many ways to keep clothes out of the landfill. Guests were encouraged to bring an item to contribute and to take an item from the swap rack! Ayesha, the founder of Remake also gave a mini speech to educate us more on how the fast fashion industry is negatively impacting the people and planet. We celebrated the rest of the night with 2 Amour Vert gift card giveaways, yummy light bites, beautifully made cupcakes and chocolate-dipped rice krispy treats from Candicake, champagne, and gift bags filled with sustainable fashion and beauty goodies.
A huge thank you to Greg (Greg W. Photo of 2NV Entertainment) for capturing the moments that night, to everyone who came out to show support, and to my sponsors for bringing my event vision to life! Photos to come soon :) Read More
