Hi everyone! Highlighting a recent SF brunch find (and what I wore) on the blog today :)
My friend Thy from Thy Time and I have been talking about trying Media Noche, a fast-casual Cuban counter restaurant in San Franciso's Mission District, for a few months now. We decided to hit up a couple of our other blogger friends, Christine from Trend Envy and Christina from Closet Luxe, to grab brunch at this cute spot during Burning Man weekend.
As you can probably tell from the photos, the restaurant itself is very light and airy with mint-colored accents and colorful floor tiles. Burning Man weekend was the perfect time to go since the restaurant was way less crowded than it normally is, allowing us to fully enjoy the space and to take our time enjoying the food and catching up with each other!
Our brunch was super yummy. I had a refreshing guava agua fresca and the picadillo empanadas, which were stuffed with spicy ground beef and deep-fried to crispy perfection. It came with a yummy green sauce that paired deliciously with the empanadas. According to my gal pals, the salads are tasty too, although portions are on the smaller side. We will definitely be back to try their Cubano sandwiches, Mariquitas, and guava lime flavored Moon Bars!
These girls are some of the first blogger friends I made in the city. :) They are all so beautiful - inside and out!
For this brunch date with the girls, I decided to wear an airy white A-line dress, accessorizing with a red Goodnight Macaroon faux-suede bag, Express knotted espradille wedge sandals to match, and a San Diego Hat Co. straw hat. It was unusally hot in San Francisco that weekend, so this was the perfect outfit to wear to brunch on a hot day.
Whether you're from the Bay Area or are planning to visit San Francisco one day, Media Noche is a noteworthy Cuban-inspired restaurant to bookmark and try. Let me know if you guys would be interested in more SF-related travel/food guides - I'd be happy to put these together for you!
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
