Investment Pieces | The Chloe Marcie Wallet

Hi everyone! Today, let’s talk about style investment pieces.

Right after college, I worked as an entry-level marketing and creative services professional in the beauty industry. After receiving my very first raise, my boss at that company suggested I should buy something nice for myself so the item can serve as a reminder for reaching a career milestone.

I thought this was a great idea and decided from then on to treat myself to a style investment piece whenever I accomplished a goal. These items didn't have to be extravagant, but I did want them to be timeless. I wanted to invest in something I would love for years to come but more importantly, these pieces would serve as constant reminders to work hard and to always strive to be a little better than I was yesterday.

I chose to purchase the Chloe Marcie zip-around wallet as the gift to myself for receiving my first raise and I'm thrilled to be featuring it on my blog today. I love the stitch detailing on it and the zip-around closure style keeps my wallet contents secure! To complete my look, I wore an elegant red lace circle dress from H&M with a flare trench coat and patent nude heels. Not sure if it's obvious from the first photo but... I couldn't help twirling in this outfit!

Recently, I've reached another milestone and I’m excited to continue this tradition that I’ve set for myself. Once I've made the final decision and have purchased my next style investment piece, it will be featured in a future blog post - so stay tuned!

Through today’s post I hope to spread a little inspiration and encouragement to you all. I'd be so happy to hear if you've decided to take on this tradition or a similar tradition for yourself :) Please let me know if you do!

Thank you so much for reading. Happy Thursday!
