Whether you’re a lover of dainty jewelry pieces or loud, statement ones, you’re going to love these 2 ethical jewelry brands featured in this post. Their collections of earrings, bracelets, necklaces, and rings make great wedding, birthday, and bridesmaids gifts for the conscious jewelry lover in your life!
First, I’m going to tell you about AUrate, a fine jewelry company based in NYC. There’s a good chance you’ve already heard about them, because their gorgeous posts are all over social media - especially on Instagram. AUrate offers sustainable, ethically sourced gold and diamond jewelry and focuses on high quality, clean designs.
The 14K gold vermeil earrings featured in this post are called the Tribar Ear Jacket (in the color white). The central bar can be worn alone or altogether with the ear jacket, and, of course, it is ethically sourced from conflict-free suppliers. Not only do they provide direct-to-consumer pricing (this ear jacket is $90/piece vs. the $234 traditional retail price), they also offer lifetime warranty! And if that wasn’t enough, AUrate gives a child in need a book with every purchase.
The next ethical jewelry brand I want to tell you guys about is Brilliant Earth. My boyfriend was actually the one who discovered this brand, when he was looking for ethical jewelry to gift me for our anniversary (such a thoughtful guy, right? :). Featured here is their Unity necklace, which houses a very pretty, conflict-free diamond around a sterling silver hoop.
Brilliant Earth’s mission is to cultivate a more ethical, transparent, and sustainable jewelry industry. They source Beyond Conflict Free diamonds (offering lab-grown and recycled diamonds) and are committed to environmental responsibility by only working with suppliers with high labor, trade, and environmental standards. This means their suppliers’ workers are paid fair wages, have fair working conditions, they don’t use child labor, and so much more. They have high traceability on how some their gems are sourced by using blockchain technology, and even their packaging is FSC-certified! You can learn more about why all of this is so important by reading their Conflict Diamond Facts page here.
