New Beginnings | Lace Crop Top & Flowy High-Low Skirt

Hi everyone!

071415 new beginnings

I am beyond thrilled to finally introduce my blog to you all. I’m feeling excited, nervous, hopeful and thankful, all at the same time. I have been dreaming about creating my own style and lifestyle blog, and turning it into a source of inspiration for others, for quite some time now...

It started off as a simple desire, after discovering some great style and lifestyle bloggers in 2011, but I had quickly dismissed the idea due to the limited time I had as a full-time college student. Fast forward to 2015 - that idea is now a growing passion that I am finally turning into a reality. Today, I am pleased to welcome you to my new blog, The Chic Diary!

The Chic Diary will serve as a creative outlet for me to express my personal aesthetics and style, and as an inspiration point for others seeking outfit styling ideas. More importantly though, I truly hope to connect and engage with my community of readers, who may in turn help each other with their very own style tips and outfit suggestions. As of now, I will be publishing an outfit post every other Thursday (with the next outfit post scheduled for July 30th).

With that, I hope that you enjoy my very first outfit post. ;) Standing at 5'2" tall, I'm usually in between regular and petite clothing sizes. So oftentimes, maxi dresses and high-low skirts are way too long for me. Pairing the plum-colored high-low skirt in today's post with a lace crop top and nude wedge sandals helps to elongate my legs. I added a skinny white belt to accentuate my waistline, and a statement clear acrylic clutch to display all my favorite essentials of the day.

Thank you so much for reading! I am so excited for you to join me on this journey... Cheers, to new beginnings! :)
