Brand Spotlight: We Are Kindred | An Australian Fashion Label All About Bohemian Luxury

Excited to share a Consciously Chic brand spotlight today on an Australian fashion label called We Are Kindred!

We Are Kindred is a bohemian luxury label founded in 2013 in Australia, by two sisters named Lizzie and Georgie Renkert. With We Are Kindred, you can feel good about your purchase knowing that they plant a tree for every product sold, through their Seed the Change program. This helps to offset carbon emissions. To put it into perspective, 1 tree stores 1,250 kgs of carbon, which is equivalent to offsetting a flight from LA to London. 16 trees can offset carbon emissions of an average American household over a 30 year period!

Design & Fabric: We Are Kindred’s designs are the definition of bohemian luxury. Their pieces are feminine, vintage-inspired yet modern, and made with some of the most beautiful prints and luxurious fabrics I’ve ever seen and felt. You won’t find too many basic designs with this brand.

Fit: The brand follows standard international sizing with AUS size 10 being the equivalent of a US size 6, which, according to their size guide, includes body measurements of a 35.5” bust, 28.7” waist, and a 39” hip. I currently have 3 clothing pieces from We Are Kindred - one is a pair of stretchy lace shorts (which I featured in this blog post), another is a elasticated floral dress (featured on my Instagram here and here), and another is this floral anorak, pictured in this post. From my experience, all 3 of my pieces are slightly on the larger side, as I’m used to a US size 6 being closer to a 34” bust and 27” waist.

Retailers: Online Site •  The Iconic • Moda Operandi • Farfetch •  YOOX • Revolve

Price Range: $$$ - $$$$ ($89.90 - $699)
This brand is definitely on the more expensive side. Pro-Tip: Sign up for their email newsletter and get notified of their online sample sales. During these sales, styles are heavily reduced in prices (usually starting at $40)! I scored all 3 of my We Are Kindred pieces during their sample sales.

Hope you enjoyed this brand spotlight on We Are Kindred and found it helpful! Let me know your thoughts of the brand in the comments below :)
