Wear Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Hey everyone, I hope you're having a great October so far!

In today's post, I incorporated pops of pink into my outfit in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You might already know from my blog post last October that I'm a big advocate of spreading breast cancer awareness. Because about 1 in 8 women develop invasive breast cancer during their lifetime, I believe it's important to spread this awareness and to get checked regularly.

Even just getting checked during your annual physical exam can make all the difference. If you're over 40 years old, you may want to consider getting a mammogram to check for smaller lumps that can't be felt during a regular breast exam. It is especially important for you to get checked if you have a strong family history of breast cancer. Also, although it is rare in men, it is still important to be aware of the signs and risk factors, and to get checked if you have a family breast cancer history in female relatives. Early detection saves lives!

Thank you for reading, and wishing you and your loved ones happiness and good health!
