The #30Wears Campaign was popularized by Livia Firth, the Founder of Eco-Age and Executive Producer of The True Cost documentary. It challenges people to embrace slow fashion and rethink their shopping habits by asking a simple question before making a clothing purchase: Will I wear this piece at least 30 times?
Similar to a food diary, I'm documenting my very own #30wears diary below. I note each piece's cost, the number of times I wore each piece so far, the cost per times worn, and the cost per 30 wears of each item. Rather than buying a $20 top from a fast fashion brand that I'll end up wearing, maybe, 2-3 times before it starts to fall apart, I hope to share how investing in high-quality cross-seasonal pieces that you'll wear time-and-time again can end up saving you more money and leave you with a much more satisfied wardrobe in the long run. With a curated closet filled with pieces I love, my goal is to never again feel like I have "nothing to wear." I encourage you to try it, too!
