Summer to Fall | Chambray Shirt Dress & Sunflowers

Hi everyone!

Featuring some bright and happy sunflowers in my outfit post today.

I like to tell myself that flowers have always brought me so much joy because my Korean name is "Chrysanthemum." Sunflowers, in particular, are one of my favorites. They're so bright and cheerful - I just had to pick some up when I saw them at the local store!

Along with these beautiful sunflowers, Iโ€™m wearing my favorite chambray shirt dress with a neutral hat and lace-up booties. It's the perfect look to transition into fall while itโ€™s still warm! As you can see, my love for fringe continues with this neutral bag. Itโ€™s so fun to carry around and adds instant boho vibes to any outfit.

While sunflowers are delightful to look at, they also hold many deep meanings in various cultures - another reason why I find them so attractive! These flowers are generally a symbol of happiness, adoration and loyalty. Thereโ€™s a charming tale in Greek mythology that perfectly illustrates these 3 traits, and it goes a little something like this: there once was a water nymph who was madly in love with the god of the sun, Apollo. Sadly, Apollo never took notice of the water nymph and her apparent adoration for him. The other gods felt empathetic towards her, so they turned her into a beautiful sunflower which continued to face and follow the sun in the sky. I find it very touching when someone can be so unconditionally faithful and loving towards the one he/she adores. This story always makes me swoon and reminds me of the romantic meaning behind the beautiful sunflower.

I hope todayโ€™s post brought a sunny smile to all your lovely faces! :) I hope flowers bring as much joy and happiness to your everyday lives as it does to mine.

Happy Thursday!
